Pro-Life Thoughts

Premature Baby
Did you know that in 1 of 4 nations, women can choose an abortion no matter how far along she is in her pregnancy? Did you know she can also choose to abort based on the sex/gender of the baby? Well, according to the United States Abortion Policy in the International Context—Americans United for Life (2012, August 1), this is true.

According to The Washington Post, the stats are even worse. Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and Mother Theresa would be horrified. Abortion is no longer the taking of an innocent life and hasn’t been for decades. It’s amazing how the Sexual Revolution in the 1960s and 1970s and the paranoid cry for population control have changed the public perception of the sanctity of life.

At least society did go the way of Soylent Green with pre-born babies. One would think that “The Pill” (1961) would prevent the desire for abortion considering it was a preventive method. Now, abortion is considered birth control. It’s the very first covered expense on my health care plan. Gotta love alphabetized services verses the most common. Oh wait, maybe abortion is that common.

Until Roe v. Wade is a thing of the past, Christians must do two things: Pray like crazy and continue to minister to those struggling with the decision to abort or not. Parents who already feel overburdened would benefit from some time away from the kids and home so take it from me, offering to baby sit for a few hours (for free or for a small fee) works wonders for the entire family you help.

I hate the fact that some women choose abortion as a means of birth control. My choice was to give my daughter life. Now she has a beautiful family and has made me a grandmother. That is such a blessing to me. Supporting families, encouraging and empowering women are not only the Christian thing to do, but it’s the right thing to do. Wonderful post! Keep on writing!

Thank you! Yes, if it wasn’t for you making a brave choice, I wouldn’t have THE BEST KIDS EVER in my life!
