I’m excited to share some wonderful news: This week, I had the opportunity to be interviewed by Awesome Gang, a platform dedicated to connecting readers with indie authors and amplifying new voices in publishing. It was a meaningful chance to talk about my memoir, A Tatterdemalion’s Testimony, and the journey behind writing it.

Why This Interview Matters
When I began writing A Tatterdemalion’s Testimony, I knew it would not be an easy story to tell. It’s a memoir woven with faith, healing, and the kind of honesty that requires courage. But I also knew that stories like mine (messy, redemptive, hopeful) are the ones that resonate most deeply with readers searching for meaning, encouragement, or simply the reminder that they aren’t alone in their struggles.
This interview gave me the space to share more openly about:
- What inspired the book
- The challenges and blessings of writing such a personal story
- Who I hope the book will reach and encourage
- My writing process and what’s next on the horizon
Awesome Gang’s mission is to connect readers with new books worth exploring, and I’m grateful they chose to feature mine.
Behind the Scenes: What I Shared
In the interview, I talked about how A Tatterdemalion’s Testimony grew from years of lived experience, prayer, and healing. I also opened up about the moment I realized this memoir needed to be written, not just for me, but for anyone who has walked through brokenness and wondered if restoration could truly be possible.
I also discussed my hope that readers will walk away not just knowing my story, but seeing reflections of their own journeys through the lens of mercy and grace. Writing this memoir was an act of vulnerability, yes, but also an act of obedience and faith.
A Grateful Step Forward
Every opportunity to share this story feels like another step in the path God set before me. I’m deeply grateful for platforms that uplift independent authors and help stories reach the people who need them.
If you haven’t had a chance yet, I’d love for you to read the interview, share it, or let me know your thoughts. Your support has meant more than I can ever express.
